PRINT, PATTERN AND SURFACE DESIGN

SPLIT SHIFT TILES — Bert & MAY

The ‘Split Shift’ Tile trio was created in collaboration with Bert & May and Darkroom for the London Design Festival 2016. The collaboration celebrates the simplistic beauty of three geometric shapes: the circle, the square and the triangle.
The three tile designs can be aligned to form whole shapes or arranged in a more abstracted, random way.

RUNES framed prints

Inspired by the ancient pagan Runic alphabet, and a celebration of the beauty of wood. These prints have been designed in collaboration with FRMD who have produced the hand-stained bevelled frames, making a totally integrated framing concept that unifies the print and frame as one whole object.

Uniform Studio

The Uniform Studio create and produce 'bespoke uniforms' for many high-end retail and hospitality clients, and it was the seemingly oxymoronic nature of this pairing of words that inspired our design of their identity. The aim was to give at first glance a look of overall uniformity, but on closer inspection it becomes apparent that a different typeface is used for each line of text – subtly hinting at the nature of bespoke garments, and the attention to detail inherent in the tailor's craft.

DESIGN MUSEUM — Designs of the year

Working alongside David Kohn Architects to create the graphic design and integrated wayfaring elements for the prestigious Designs of the Year awards exhibition at the Design Museum.

The show catalogue and invites were designed with Robert Green. We created and photographed an abstracted miniature model of the cubic display system to be used in various formations for the catalogue covers and dividers and as a playful backdrop to the typography.

d'Arenberg wines

I was teamed with d’Arenberg Wines by the South Australian Wine Board to design a wine label for their signature Shiraz. I embraced the brand’s red sash label, painting an abstracted design that referenced the geometric architecture of their flagship restaurant and museum.
